Stewart Brothers Nurseries (SBN) of Kelowna B.C. Canada, a leader in the Western Canadian Nursery industry, has implemented HisTREE.net tree management processes for all nursery locations in Kelowna, Grand Forks and Midway for the 2011 season.
This exciting move means that all tree delivered by or purchased from SBN will be tagged with HisTREE.net RFID tags. All tagged trees purchased from SBN in 2011 will provide the ability for HisTREE.net participating contractors and municipalities to utilize the HisTREE.net system on purchased trees, and to perform maintenance management as well as to be able to retrieve archived data providing information on tree source, species authentication, and key events and dates.
This also means that as a CLEAN PLANTS nursery, all trees purchased from SBN will truly carry the ability to authenticate and communicate certification or CLEAN PLANTS status regardless of final destination. True, web based, life cycle management and traceability will be achieved on a tree by tree basis. Worldwide, no other system exists that provides this capability utilizing RFID, GIS and cloud computing technology.
SBN and HisTREE.net are extremely excited that SBN is the first nursery in North America to be a TOTAL G nursery and that SBN is the first nursery in Canada to utilize the HisTREE.net processes to aid in the management and implementation of the CLEAN PLANTS program.

HisTREE.net signs up the City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta Canada
The City of Fort Saskatchwan has contracted with HisTREE.net to begin the process of asset management and archiving of all city trees. Once tree archiving is completed and deemed sucessful, the process is scheduled to follow into all parks and public works assets.
Boston " New England Snows"
HisTREE.net was at the "New England Grows" at the Boston Convention Center. Weather played havoc with the majority of the eastern seaboard and midwest area,but there was great interest in the HisTREE.net program.
The Windy City - Mid AM in Chicago
